  • Sir Richard Gethin Bt

    Major Sir Richard Gethin Bt was born in Surrey in 1949. He was educated at the Oratory School near Reading and in 1968 entered The Military Academy Sandhurst.

    After serving in Germany he attended the Royal Military College of Science Shrivenham where he gained a Civil Engineering degree. After serveral tours of service in Northern Ireland he returned to the UK for further service before later retiring from the Army in 1990 and entering the civil engineering industry where he applied his expertise in major projects and developments. 

    Initially employed by Bechtel, he worked on the Channel Tunnel High Speed Rail Link and then in 2005 he moved to BAM Nuttall and worked on the London Olympics, Crossrail and Thames Tideway. 

    He retired in 2016 and has been pursuing recreational hobbies and activities ever since. Richard is married with three daughters and has five grandchildren. He is a very enthusiastic bee keeper and cyclist and will often be seen cycling the Parish.

  • David Marshall

    David Marshall is the founder and owner of three innovative businesses within the jewellery industry: David Marshall London Ltd, The London Art Work Ltd, and Design Build Cast Ltd. Based in London, David has dedicated his career to blending artistic vision with masterful craftsmanship, creating bespoke jewellery pieces for a diverse array of clients. Among his greatest accolades is the prestigious honor of being commissioned to design and produce a brooch for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

    As both an entrepreneur and an artist, David’s passion lies in bringing creative ideas to life through distinctive artistic mediums, offering services ranging from design consulting to private commissions. His work seamlessly combines traditional and contemporary styles, each piece delivered with precision and creativity.

    Firmly established within London’s jewellery community, David has built a reputation for excellence in creative direction and superior craftsmanship. His companies embody his commitment to innovation, fusing art, design, and functionality into every project.

  • Dr Rubin Minhas

    Rubin was awarded a Harkness Fellowship at the RAND Corporation, Los Angeles, the largest policy think tank in the world, before becoming Editor-in-Chief for the BMJ's Evidence Centre where he was responsible for 'Clinical Evidence' and other internationally recognised scientific publications. He lead the launch of the first digital app based knowledge products and the Group China Market Entry Strategy, whilst also gaining an MBA from the University of Cambridge.

    His roles at NICE include authoring and Chairing the first national clinical guidelines for heart disease , and published numerous books and papers in leading medical journals including QRISK2, the first nationally recommended tool to estimate patients risk of heart disease in England & Wales. He was also Group Medical & Scientific Director for Nuffield Health, a FTSE 350 size private provider of hospitals and gyms.

    He is passionate about his work, his team and his community. He enjoys learning about ancient civilizations and photographing the local landscapes, where his family have lived for 26 years.

  • Professor Carrie Weston

    Professor Carrie Weston is a registered Chartered Psychologist and academic with a research background in Early Childhood and Developmental Movement, completing her PhD in Scotland through a scholarship.

    Formerly Dean at the University of East London, where she worked from 2003-2019, and Deputy CEO of Metanoia Institute, Carrie is a Governance Associate at Advance HE, a freelance consultant, and published author.  She is also a trustee for Maria Montessori International.

    Carrie is the author of a number of children's books, including the bestselling Oxford University Press 'Boris' series. Through her writing and storytelling for children, Carrie has performed at Glastonbury, launched a literacy scheme with the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee, is a guest speaker for literacy events in schools and was nominated for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize for children's literature.
